Tutorial: How to Configure Windows XP to Work with IRC

Step 1:

1. Click on the Windows "Start" Button
2. Click on "Control Panel"
3. Click on "Network Connections"
4. Depending on how you have your views set, you should see something like the figure below:
   
   
   
   
5. If you have more than one NIC card like me, you will have two LAN connections showing. Regardless of how many LAN connections you have, you are going to work with the one that shows the word "Connected" or "Enabled". Right click on the LAN icon or text to bring up the menu. Click on "Properties".
